Who we support

Children, youths, and women in Mbale and other neighboring districts such as Butebo, Budaka and Pallisa.

Our Programs

  1. Livelihood Program

Poverty and youth unemployment remain central challenges in the region. Many youth and women have limited opportunities to engage in productive economic activities due to a lack of skills, capital, or market access.

TsaHI Promotes Vocational Training, Entrepreneurship, and Community Savings Initiatives to Build Household Income. We aim at training at least 300 youth and women annually and supporting them to engage in income-generating activities such as soap making, shoe making, tailoring, small-scale agribusiness, and savings groups (VSLAs). These trainings are conducted at our skilling center in Nakaloke Town Council.

  1. Education & Support For Vulnerable Children

Vulnerable children, especially children living in poverty-stricken families, often face challenges that prevent them from accessing and completing primary and secondary education. Tsahi Aims To Break This Cycle Of Exclusion Through Education Support Interventions Such As The Provision Of Scholastic Materials, Mentorship, And Psychosocial Support. At Least 100 Vulnerable Children Annually Will Benefit From Tsahi’s Education Support Services, Contributing To Increased Enrollment, Retention, And Performance In School.

We established Steward Christian Nursery And Primary School to offer quality education at an affordable cost to low-income families. We Enable Children To Enroll And Thrive In A Supportive Learning Environment. This initiative aligns with the national education priorities and addresses the critical need of accessible, inclusive, and quality education for low-income families in Mbale and its surroundings.

  1. Environmental Sustainability Program

Environmental Degradation, particularly deforestation, soil erosion, and poor waste management, poses a long-term threat to livelihoods and public health. Tsahi Will Promotes Climate-Smart Practices, Environmental Education, Making Of Crafts And Eco-Friendly Packing Materials Such As Paper Bags, And Tree Planting. Our Objective (By 2028): A Minimum Of 20,000 Trees Will Be Planted And Maintained In Degraded Areas, And At Least 3 School Or Community Eco-Initiatives Will Be Piloted And Scaled Up. This will be achieved through partnerships with schools, local governments, and environmental groups to establish tree nurseries, environmental clubs, and green campaigns.

  1. Health And Well-Being

Access to basic health services remains a significant barrier in the target communities. Waterborne Diseases, Malnutrition, And Poor Sanitation Continue To Contribute To Preventable Morbidity, Especially Among Children And Women. Tsahi’s health-related interventions will focus on community health promotion, Wash (Water, sanitation, and hygiene) education, and nutrition awareness.
